Gerard T. Nevins
FDNY Rescue 1
Campbell Hall

Gerry Nevins fancied himself a gentleman's farmer, keeping goats, pigs, rabbits and chickens at his home in Campbell Hall. He'd bring fresh eggs down to the Rescue 1 firehouse on a regular basis, a practice his comrades will always remember. He was a decorated firefighter and hero long before Sept. 11. He was a "shining star," loved ones say. He is survived by his wife, Marie, and two sons, Daniel, 7, and 5-year-old Andrew. He was 46.
